It’s visually confusing for me at this point. If there’s no fix for it, I suppose I’ll get used to it. We can still isolate this more, another factor why you’re having this issue is a corrupted user profile.
It is possible that your current user profile now is affected with some file corruption. To narrow down the cause of this, let’s create a new user profile and see if the issue is present there. In reply to A. User’s post on December 14, I tried these instructions and rebooted twice. Each time, the problem still persists. After the clean reboot, the issue still persists. That program also still shows the option to view folders that are on the desktop. But, it’s the only place that does. I had also previously changed my download pathway from the Downloads folder to the Desktop folder.
