Try the install of Office I was trying to get rid of some odd remnants of a malware thing and wound up installing Malwarebytes. After running it and subsequently installing the newer version, I found that my install of Office wasn’t working! I kept getting an error saying it couldn’t be verified even though I’ve been using the software for over 7 years. Somehow or another, Malwarebytes had altered my registry thinking it was in error but it actually did more harm than good. Now I just need to replace my data files which I had backed up and get back to work!

I am trying to install office pro plus – i did get the error and reset my permissions in the registry, but now i getting error OSPPSV failed do to insufficient rights and fails to install.

The laptop came installed with Windows 7 and a trial version of Office which I used for a couple weeks before removing it then installed Office Pro. Here is how I was able to finally install Office and these steps may work for others with the same situation. I found some of the solutions from others who posted on other sites and assembled them in a logical order for whatever reason worked for me.

The next steps have to do why you get the error which has to do with security rights to certain features in Windows that are not set up or enabled. Since Windows Home locks out access the users and groups the follow steps with add Administrative access to the service component needed to for installation to work:.
